I want to cry!
I works for everyone but me.
Actually my problem may be something else. I don't get a password error message, but I can't get into the admin. It just flashes back to the login screen with the admin and password fields blanked out. Just keeps going round and round, not password error message, but can't get in, either.

I followed your step. Not working .I am Using 2.0 version Yesterday i have just changed my user name & password after that i can't log in at all. I tried Using oc_user of changing MD5... also tried to regian password by ocreset.php but still not able to recover my admin password. Looking forward to your assistance really. You will be my Hero.
v.v.i:- Website (www.muslimbd.com) working fine. As i am using free hosting can't temper php or my sql many times. Please let me know will i send to you ftp access.

Will this work somehow for someone like me who has 'cloned' an existing site successfully but cannot access the admin panel for the newly cloned site since the store setup has been bypassed during the cloning process?

If your configuration Files are correctly set, as well as your DB-settings,
I just tested his one here on a OC v.2.1.0.2_rc, and it worked as well as on v.1.5.6.x Versions.

anyone could use it, change your password, enter your Place, and so destroy everything, eventually !

I try it, but it only support to change the default admin group under "Top Administrator" , is there any way to allow to change the admin password for the admin group that I created ?

Actually, the Admin SELECT option should display all active ADMINS, but I am really not sure, because I never yet used multiple Admins. I have to check on this tonight, to be sure about this

I did the password change and it changed it BUT I still says "Permission Denied" when I try to do any changes in the dash board. I am using Version 1.5.1.
I am trying to correct in shipping and the address will not show "States or Zip Code". Checkout stalls at shipping. I am 86 and my mind does not work as in the past.
