NoExtraTime has been a bit delayed. He emailed me, estimating that it will be a few weeks before release. he is going as quick as he can i'm sure. On a seperate note, I dont mind paying a contribution to NoExtraTime's efforts and time, but to a new merchant and new online business times are hard and generally do not got a great deal of funds to play with.
NoExtraTime wrote:Yeah, I am not even sure if I want to charge for it....

Maybe I might make a regular basic version for free and a packed full featured version for $5... ????

How about this: anybody that posts an idea/ suggestion/ comment etc. in this thread will definitely get the full best version for free! :)
i think Josh is being more than reasonable with this statement.

All the best Josh, cant wait to get hold of this mod as soon as you have it available.

Thanks
Stewart

Thanks for the update Stewart..great work.

I am sure Josh could do with a communications manager if he is woking flat out as it's been almost 2months since we've heard anything on this post from him. And you start wondering if this is for real or just an idea without arms & legs!

When the product is released finally I hope there will be sufficient communication & support for the module! 8)

As you know, lack of communication can cripple your ideas & product and can lead to lack of confidence in a product regardless of how good it is.

Wow.. It has been a really long time waiting for eBay integration; I hope that he took my opinion into account. Because with ebay checkout function, it will make sellers go over the moon  :))

Looks interesting, i'm actually working on something similar myself.

The bit about checking out via the OC store is really interesting, I haven't looked at that, does the eBay API really allow payment to be diverted away from their options?

Yes it does, I have seen many sites do it. And trust me, with that, customers will be more than happy to purchase on your website than ebay. Which is brilliant, we save hundred of pounds if we can convert customers from ebay to our website.

hey josh, Ive upgraded myself to a shop on ebay, and have a pre coded template, i assume the data from opencart i.e. description transfers to an ebay listing can this data be inserted into that precoded template automatically?

will the transferred description for opencart be exactly the same as for ebay as in sizes etc etc? i usually add extra images to listings will this be do able through the oc back end via the code?

Richard,

If you mean eBay stores, I think I know what you are talking about, and yes it will work with templates for ebay stores.

As for having a different ebay description from the opencart version of the description, yes they are totally seperate. You will be able to populate the ebay description from the current oc version, then you can edit and add whatever to the ebay version only.

There are lots and lots of options to set and configure and play with...!

ok great would be good if you can see the ebay description for opencart in a wysiwyg viewer so everything looks perfect before submitting it to feebay lol :)

Yes, it has a better than that previewer, with one click you see your description in your compiled template, so its a very good, final answer style, confirmation that it looks perfect before submitting to feebay

you mention this for a top feature: Coming in Awesome V.2) Built in ebay Checkout, so instead of checking out though eBay process, they are sent to your site to complete the checkout, and an order is created in your OC system and everything.

will this be optional? and will it be via the ebay paypal address or the oc one? or is it like the oc checkout where people can choose what payment method they pay by?

Are you going to be releasing the Source Code for a price or is it just per month? Tbh i would personally be interested in the Source Code so i could integrate it into my installment of OpenCart. Best of Luck i would love to do something like that but working at a bank and uni. my hardcore coding times seems to be slipping away

Thank you for your interest, and the answer is it is "just per month". Now, you mentioned:
jnymris wrote:i would personally be interested in the Source Code so i could integrate it into my installment of OpenCart.
It already does that, it will sit right inside of your OC installment and work right with all the data you currently have. If you are still interested in the source code, please PM me with more details.

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

Josh

Hi,

Would be easier to sell as a complete package.

Especially for those of us who run several sites, the costs do add up!

Thanks,
Mel x
