I am using OC 2.1.0.1
I tried installing it using the extension installer but it kept on saying "invalid type!" even though it was the zip file i was trying to upload. So i uploaded the files inside the "upload" folder to my opencart. Now in user group permissions i have checked " tool/export_import". But I cannot see Import/Export in the system settings. I'm using Opencart 2.1.0.1. Can someone please help

Try the fre Extension Installer fix, and then re-install. It bypasses the need for FTP.
