Sorry, I'm not quite sure what your after but here is a screen shot of me entering a imie number into the comments section and then printing invoice to show it on the invoice.
You dont need this extension to be able to modify the order, you can select edit and edit the order before printing the invoice in the default opencart install.

We want to remove product images and SKU from the invoice. We did that easily in the packing slip template by deleting the relevant table columns from the html but can't figure out how to do it for the sales invoice. Can you help please?

Sorry I did not see your earlier comment.
To remove the pictures in the packing slip, this is done via the module settings.
For the invoice to add or remove the sku column this is also via the module settings.
To remove the product pictures on the invoice please send me an email to help@opencartchoice.com and I shall send you the modified work.

Wondering two things:
1. I ticked Invoice number shown "yes" in general settings, but I don't see a barcode on the packing slip?
2. Is it possible for the barcode to correspond to the order ID rather than the invoice number?
3. Is it possible to specify a starting invoice number, ie: 1500 instead of 1
4. Is it possible for QR code to be a choice in the barcode dropdown menus? It's a lot easier to scan than the next best one, Code 128
