I enclosed 3 modified source files for those, looking for a most widely disabled Category Product Counting.
Some of it is managable by the Admin Counting Select Function, but I did not really try it out, I don't want
Numbers to show up.

BUT NOT EVERYTHING can be disabled, or the Page Brake Function will not longer work.
If one only has about 50-100 Products per Category Page, this Counting could eventually be removed too,
because it's no Problem to display 100 or so Products on a Category Page within less than 5-7 Seconds.

It's doing some Category Caching, and since it's Content has been built-in in the Source Files
and I did not want to remove it, before 'placing' it here.Therefore, do NOT USE BOTH Options.
MAKE FILE-BACKUPS, if your Shop does not work, you should have something to restore the last Stage...

It would have been nice if the resolution was posted on here. Isn't one of the functions of a forum to be a repository of knowledge to help solve issues?

Not trying to be a jerk but this is the main reason I feel the need to leave OpenCart. We can build an awesome store with OpenCart but in the end a slow site will fail no matter how it functions.

Pretty disappointing that I have 2.5k products in my store but it takes 10 seconds to load a category page with 990 products in it. Dedicated hosting will only help so much. In my opinion this comes down to some inefficiencies within the queries. If this issue was solved I would be an OpenCart user for life.

We have been using OpenCart for years but are extremely close to finding a different solution because of the slowness.

You should not argue about Opencart Speed, before doing everything possible in order to reach your goal. But to do this, you should find out first, where your problems are, by doing extensive performance tests first. Then, you will find out, what solution will match best, go get your slow shop in shape.

Opencart comes for free, but it's survival also depends of Professionals, adding their individual 'solutions' and all kinds of Enhancements. It is therefore understandable, that Opencart CANNOT just present one PAGE, explaining everything, and linking all the individual FREE solutions to it, it would break the System, and noone would care anymore to invest time in such an enterprise, where ALL the knowledge is just spread for free, easy to find, possibly even on one single Page.

You all plan to make Money with Opencart. So, please, understand, and accept, at least, to invest your time, searching trough the Forum, and testing uncounted times, to avoid to spend your hard earned Money to get it done, by buying this kind of Service. It's just the way, it works, so, dont't take it personal. Please!

I have created OpenCart Lightning extension that makes the store with lot of products/categories as fast as possible.
