Something that I have just noticed with OC v1.5.5.1 which seems unique to Outlook is that the image embedded within the order confirmation e-mail is now blocked, where for OC v1.5.1.3 this was loaded automatically (did not require "Click here to download pictures").

The main difference I have noticed is the omission of the CID (Content ID) reference within the image tag. I have tried adding this back in but this is not working.

I have also been looking through system/library/mail.php and attempted to revert a couple lines relating to Content ID back to that which was used in v1.5.1.3 but this doesn't seem to fix this issue either.

Any ideas?

Thunderbird now settably allows or blocks in-line display of both html and images in all mail, including mail from older and newer OC versions, alike. Apparently Outlook is also doing that, perhaps also settably on or off.

The current trend in mail clients seems to override what we had been accustomed to. Reverting newer to older OC in specific code, as done to no avail (unless perhaps just the right code to change wasn't yet found and changed), seems to agree with that. Perhaps changing OC code to have former mail client behaviors is foredoomed to failure, but perhaps installing older (and nominally less secure) versions of mail clients would have somewhat the opposite effect for both older and newer OC versions, alike.

Perhaps I didn't clarify well enough. I am performing an update on a separate domain (same server) to ensure all modules and modifications work before making the live update. All e-mails sent from the live store (v1.5.1.3) definitely do have the image embedded with e-mails received in Outlook, while for v.1.5.5.1, the image is blocked.

Same system, same server, same e-mail client, same PC, same Outlook, everything system environment related is identical... The only thing different is OpenCart. I think it is quite clear where to look if I hope to resolve this issue. :)

I'll keep trying but in the mean time if anyone has any suggestions, I would be VERY appreciative. I do feel that this is related to the CID (Content ID) assignment.
