I understand the ammount of work that is put into this project and I really do appreciate the time spent by all involved but without consistancy I'm afraid Opencart will no longer be a viable solution. You had a product that works and although there were many areas for improvement / enhancement, to bin it and bring out a totally new system Iseems ludicroud. I would imagine many of the Mod developers feel pretty much the same as they now have to ' yet again' redevelop their products
Sorry if this sounds a bit arsey but I've just wasted approx 2 weeks of work and a boat load of cash

if your a coder you should be able to go through the svn looking at every change i have done since the last release.
i have never binned anything and brought out a whole new system. modules should be easy to upgrade.

when do you think we will have this Upgrade Script, as i think this 1 click to go ...thing is super important for someone like me, who doesn't really know how to work on the scripts...and each time we see the new version, ...i felt shit,....

what i really worry is that we don't know what to upgrade, or what to upload to replace, ...
or you can give us a folder to upload to overwrite some of the files on the system, but for sure,
it should keep all the necessary data that we have put and set up in the 1.5.05. do you think that is possible??

Great question, im sitting on version 1495 and the php server wont run it v 151 will run on it , dont want to have to enter all that stock again, what would be the time frame ? and what length of builds are you likely to support with out a script upgrade again? i would be hoping like most software all ov version 1.5xxmikeyzhe wrote:when do you think we will have this Upgrade Script

well, if i want to update from 1.5.05 to 1.5.1....there is nothing on the web site that shows how to do it.
or any reference....i think if there is, i think everyone will still try with it, and to see if we can overcome it ...

well, i try to back up the stat, and then i reload it to it, it won't work,
when we reload, does it have to be reload to the same databased,
as i am using a /shop/
and then i make a demo site for testing, and i make a back up .sql from /shop/

You can't upgrade from 1.5.0 to 1.5.1! Do not use upgrade.php- it breaks the OC installation!

Reason I ask is I have updated my extensions 3 times now for 1.5.1.0 lol all those 5 minutes updating could have been better spent with my gorgeous wife ;-)

it will be 1.5.1.1 i think.
it will probably not be released for a while. there would have to be a bug bigger enough for me to release soon. i think people are unhappy about releasing version to quickly.
