If you cannot find the config_language on the settings table, then this is where the issue is. During the upgrade, something went wrong. I'd strongly suggest to restore backup.

well I'm going to have to try something different. what I was trying to do is install the version from my hosting server and I see that one has issues from the git go. I haven't done anything to it and it's already got that error on the public side but the Theme does have a theme name in admin. In the database I don't see the config_language_id. so I think I'm going to have to try installing manually and see if I get the same errors.
It's actually the config_language, not config_language_id from the settings table. My bad. However, I would suggest to install the bug fixes from the Bug Reports section of the forum before you operate any payment or shipping module on your store as well as many other modules by also ensuring those modules are properly working afterwards even though it is a fresh installation.

ok well still there wasn't a config anything under language table. I'm going to look at all this tomorrow anyway. My meds are starting to kick in and I would be much too tired to work efficiently at trying to even manually install a new, fresh install.

OK I did a manual install of OC3.0.2.0 and it looks just like the automatic install did in the database. no config_language. and I got this version from OC itself. I put the zip file on my server and unzipped from there and used file manager on cpanel to do all that.

Server resource limitation issues when inserting the data into the database due to higher required resource that your server may not provide. In your PHPMyAdmin, go to the setting table of your fresh installation database of Opencart. Then, go to the SQL tab. Paste the following commands:

Doing the process on your own is feasible. I personally rather do it on my own for each releases to test and understand the cause of dysfunctionality in Opencart. Give it a try on a test-environment network.

well now I can't get to admin site. I get several error messages:

well there's 2 things I recognized. it's not in the store I had it at and it's also trying to access the old database. is that because I had to copy the config.php to the root and admin from the old to the new install when I'm trying to do the upgrade?
The affiliate table no longer exists, that is correct. You must also replace the core files with the newest ones. If you're seeing these errors, it is either caused by an extension or the files were not replaced over a previous version of Opencart.

OK I guess I don't know what the core files are. I took a new install and put my old config.php files from root and admin and added my image files to the new install. I ran install and selected upgrade. I did that twice. As stated in my previous post, the 2 differences I notice is that it's trying to go to my old store and old database. when I say my old store, it's just that I have the new install under store1 and after I try to login to admin when I get those errors, the url has me in my old store.straightlight wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 6:21 amThe affiliate table no longer exists, that is correct.
