The images are named differently in the Cache folder.
"AX-01211-axesoirs.jpg" is named "AX-01211-axesoirs-40x40.jpg" in the cache folder. (and there's 80x80 and 100x100).
In that case, AX-01211 would be ok if it's there the same file name but with "40x40", "80x80" and "100x100" added to it?

That's right
the cache images append the size the original image has been resized to
So if you have just one or more cached images, you can skip to the next data image

I did that. But does not seems to be working.
Weird thing : I created a new folder in the image manager of Opencart admin area, but when I went on the FTP app, there was no new folder. Only the folders I previously created (before it started have issues).
So basicly, the image manager is just not working? And not connecting with the server. Is that it?
Any ideas how to fix this?

I have also come across this problem with a new OC website I just did.
Here is what I found to be a problem, but, i do not know how to resolve it.
After I have FTP uploaded the OC main files to my domain, all the files are owned by the same user name as you logged onto FTP with and also grouped with something called "psadn"... That works fine...
But...
The first time you look at the shop, it gives errors above the header showing no permissions in this cache folders, even though I know I set it to 777... So, I investigated in the plesk file manager and the newly created files in the cache folder are owned by "Apache" and in a group "Apache".. This makes those cached files not visible to the website or the FTP...
In the Plesk file manager, I can one-by-one change the owner to "my-ftp-login-name" and "psadn".. and the functionality works....
But....
The next time a new file gets copied to the cache folder, it is assuming the apache ownership and grouping again..
As I say, looks to be same error but I do not know what to do to fix it
Cheers

Thanks for sharing your experience. Looks like you're having the same issue.
I even hired a Opencart "expert" on Freelancer.com, that wasn't probably one, since he could not fix the problem.
I am chatting with a Agent of my hosting service provider, and it seems to be really painful to fix.
I really don't get it.

My issue is fixed! After a week of asking for help on few websites.
I asked the person who solved it (technical support from my hosting service provider) what he did to solve it so I can post the solution here to help some of you.

Sorry to wake up this OLD Case.....
BUT how did this end up?
I have this exact issue now all of a sudden.
I have never had any problems during this 3 years, but now I cant upload images. Not even a image that allready exist in another folder.....
Or, I can upload it but the image is "broken" so the image does not show....
It's just the filename and a small White pixel....
Really annoying!
