no because its not a bug. it works for eveyone else so the poblem is how you have set your server up or not configured opencart properly.

also you have not provided any information about what sever setup you have.
I'm sorry I'm new to this whole website business. I'm running Windows 7 and have tried Chrome, Firefox and IE and nothing is showing up in my Image Manager.

My host says that these are my server details:

Apache ver. 2.2.13 (Unix)
PHP version 5.2.*
MySQL ver. 5.0.81-community

I hope this helps.
GameKeyCenter, good to know I'm not alone...hopefully we can resolve this along with the community. If you happen to solve your issue, please let me know.

BTW, I am also using Windows 7.

OK, well here is an update for everyone. I tried the Image Manager on my XP machine and it works. Which leads me to beleive its a Windows 7 issue....however at the same token the OpenCart Demo works fine on my Win 7 machine.....mind boggling.

For the record.....all my server info:
-The server version: Apache/2.2.10 (Unix)
-The php version is PHP 5.2.8
-Zend Engine v2.2.0
-ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32
-Zend Extension Manager v1.2.2
-with Zend Optimizer v3.3.3

I wonder if its not a browser setting of some sort? Ideas anyone. Again, thanks for all the help.

The Image Manager doesn't work with Windows 7 for me but it does when I use the demo and I went and tried it on my XP machine and it's still not working so it must be more than a browser problem.

Just tried it with my iPhone too and still nothing is showing up. I'm starting to think it's got something to do with my server settings because why else would the demo work then.

Is there a way to manually add images that doesn't go through the Image Manager?

Or is there a way to go back to the old Back End layout?

I'm running a store and not being able to add images is making it look quite poor.

Hi,

This is not the Problem.

Uploading images (of any type except of bmp) works fine! Bute no images show up in the image manager (the images are in the rigth directory).

creating folders works too, they also show up correctely... BUT NO IMAGE FILES!!!

I will try to remove the Image Manager from OpenCart and will post. Because I'm not alone... obviousely.

But thank you all for any Help ;)

Hi everyone, Im a newbie to OpenCart, and am in the process of adding products. I am also having problems with the image uploader, when selecting upload, it's saying 'uploaded ok', but image is not showing in the interface, and will not save to my product or category listing. I'm using the latest OpenCart version, and Firefox. Does anyone have a solution for this issue?

You should check the folder permissions and permissions of the images you have uploaded.

Do you get an error message or a warning? I think you should join to thread http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=9588 'cause there's too many threads about the same subject.

thanks Mod for bringing my post to the right place.
I'm waiting for any suggestion.

I don't have any other problem.
I don't get a error or something.
some jpeg can upload but the other jpeg can not.
I did change a JPG to jpg and Vs. nothing happens.

when I choose a jpeg image, it seem uploading but after a while nothing happen or shows.

i think problem is my image format.
is size important? ( I did try a lot of little to big size)

any suggestion would be gratitude.

by the way. the permission is checked. and I can upload some image.

Problem still exists on this end. Seems images upload just fine. getting them to display is more the issue at this point. I've traced this back to the glob_brace flag not working on solaris.

filemanager.php (line 84)

$files = glob(rtrim($directory, '/') . '/*.{jpg,jpeg,png,gif}', GLOB_BRACE);

is there a way to produce the array without glob_brace? or possibly just a replacement line to look for all files to make sure I'm not missing something else?

PROBLEM SOLVED FOR ME!!!

Just to clarify all of this up especially since it may be a little confusing as 2 topics were merged....I feel the initial issues are slightly different. My problem was that the Image Manager would open but nothing would appear, not even the image directory. That was with Windows 7 and IE8. I discovered that my Win XP machine with IE8 DID work properly, thats how I determined that it was not a server or permissions issue.

I installed FireFox on my Windows 7 machine, and now it works perfectly :)

I hope this helps someone else.

Daniel, thanks for your time....and thanks for a real nice product. Hopefully I didn't waste any of your time. When all is said and done I'll be sure to make a donation.
