I've done that. I have one extension with a tag of "file manager pro" and I search on that and get pages and pages of irrelevant results. I just wonder if I'm not doing something correctly.

It's because of how the search system works. I mentioned it in one of my post somewhere in the forum. If I search for Option Image, it is searching for Option OR Image instead of Option AND Image.

Yeah the extension store search could use some fine tuning. I searched for Professional HTML Email Design (a mod) and got pages and pages of irrelevant products. Couldn't even find what I was searching for there were so many pages (and it was taking awhile to move between the pages, and got some random Internal Server Errors along the way).
But other than that the site looks nice. Not really a major facelift, just a few nips and tucks here and there.

just got this from a customer
Hi.
It would be kind if you would advise the following.
Where to place the unzipped files in Joomla?
Detailed information would be appreciated.
Using oneshop in aceshop in Joomla.
Regards
Dieter

I get these kind of questions sometimes as well. Seems that there is no / none support on an OpenCart "fork" that works in Yoomla.

Daniel, great change. Love it at least from what I see. I and many others however think that the font color on the extensions page is too light and tough to see maybe even a little harder on the eyes. And, obviously many are going to have to re-do their main image thumbnail now with the change.

Site looks great, thanks for taking the time.
I noticed that when someone buys an extension I don't receive notification emails anymore. Can anyone else confirm the same issue?
Also I agree on the font color being too light. Some where around #555 would be much more easy to read.
Cheers,
Chris

Some questions:
In old OCs the search worked perfect, in old OCs the order edit was perfect. In old OCs when you wanted to insert new products in order edit, related products etc, you had to select from the product list, now there is that stupid autofill system.
In old website, the extensions page was perfect, all working and clear-view. Now the search is not working good.
You can tell me that i can chose another ecommerce software, but why do we involute? instead of evolve? I see a big involution here.
I dont talk from books, i have real-life shops and one of them uses OC 1.4.9.4. The reason why i dont wanna change to 1.5.3.1 is this involution.

First of all you are ranting out of your ass in a topic that has nothing to do with your complains. Read the comments about the search and you will get your answer.
Secondly, how about showing some appreciation and gratitude for a free software that you make your living on? How about saying thank you instead of bitching to no end about topics you are clueless about? Opencart doesn't evolve around your unenlightened needs, the changes are for majority so I'll be the first to say either contribute something to the project, hire someone to do the custom modifications or shut up and be grateful.

just add some search tags.
the site was not workign very well and i have been working on it today to fix it.
i think i have succeeded.
i have remove the tags table and put it i a text field and used Natural Language Full-Text Searches. this has solved the performace problems with the db and improved the search to how people expect it. at least i hope so.

Hi Danniel,
I just found one more thing. Tags are case sensitive. If someone searches for "cosmetics", and the tag for that extension is "Cosmetics" (capital C), the extension will not show up.
Is this how you intended it to be or there is wiggle room here?
Thanks,
Chris

I hate to say this but now none of the tags work at all. Try searching for vqmod for example and there is no results at all.
