I do use Options Boost Plus. Is it possible to use Options Boost Plus to have a option look like the built in Image Option functionality but still be a select?

Also, will you be building compatibility in the future for dependent options and the radio buttons/image options?

Thanks!

It's not quite the same. The built-in OpenCart functionality displays all the images in radio buttons. Options Boost works by swapping out the main product image with images you set in the product option form.

It's always possible but it's not planned right now. I'd basically have to rewrite a big chunk of the mod.

The standard version of Dependent Options is OpenCart 1.5.3.x compatible.

Hi, I just bought Dependent Options, but now i don't really know if it working with Options Boost for OC 1.5.3.1? Descriptions of Options Boost says it does

(Compatibility:
=================
* Compatible with Dependent Options by rph. You can use both mods together.)

But now if I want to download correct version of Dependent Options ... descriptions says

(== Which Version To Download ==
If you're using Options Boost download "dependent_options_v1.1.4-option_boost.1.zip" (only for OpenCart 1.5.1.3 and 1.5.2.x at this time). Otherwise download the version appropriate for your version of OpenCart.)

But compatibility is only for version v1.5.1.3, v1.5.2, v1.5.2.1.

There is no current version 1.5.3.1 what I'm using.

And your last message says The standard version of Dependent Options is OpenCart 1.5.3.x compatible. It means there is compatibily with OC 1.5.3.1 only ... no support for OB ? I can't found any information about that compatibility at forum.

Please tell me if I can install that extension with Options Boost for OC 1.5.3.1

Thanks in advance

I don't know if there were any changes for Options Boost with OpenCart 1.5.3.x so I didn't mark it as officially compatible. Go ahead and give it a try and see if it works.

Thanks for the answer. So it seems that extensions didn't working as well as I hope. I can choose parent_option, but the box parent_select did not appear and parent_option_value is ok I think. But the biggest issue is when i want to save the changed product, following errors comes up:

parent_option = error_missing_option
parent_select = there is no error text ... but I can't change or edit this box, nothing have appear.
parent_option_value = error_missing_option_value

Can you help me? I really don't know what i should edit to fill the values.

Thanks in advance

Send OpenCart Admin/FTP login credentials to the support email listed in the readme file and I'll take a look.

Dependent Options 1.1.5 is out. Changes:
  • Template javascript moved before the product page footer to ensure it's loaded at the bottom of the page; this will help with select custom themes like Spicylicious
  • Updated documentation

This is caused by using the standard version of Dependent Options rather than the Options Boost compatible version. It's also covered in the README file.

Dependent Options 1.1.6 is out.
  • Shoppica/Shoppica2 compatibility changes that previously had to be made manually have been integrated into the script. This is the official end of life for Shoppica support. Any future Shoppica compatibility issues that may occur from this point on will be pay support only.
  • Confirmed OpenCart 1.5.4.1 compatible

If i select Paper1 i don't need the Option3, and for this reason I do not want to show it

I understand now. It can't hide entire options, only individual option values.

Hi,

version: 1.5.3.1

I purchased this extension. Installed it with no problems.
Once I try to setup parent option, I get an error, "Undefined index: type in..."

We're using the Fortuna theme.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi cartgirl,

Try checking the vqmod.log file for any errors. You can also try renaming "dependent_options.xml" to "00_dependent_options.xml" or "zz_dependent_options.xml" to get around any errors other mods might be causing.

I still get an error if I rename the xml to either of those two file names.
There is nothing recorded in the vqmod.log file for this extension.

The error I get when I try to save the product after applying a parent option now after renaming to one of those new xml file names is:

I suspect it may be some other mod you have. Dependent Options shouldn't be effecting those areas of the product form. Disable Dependent Options, clear out your vqcache, and check if the errors persist.

Do you mean that I should completely uninstall the extension?

Just rename it "dependent_options.xml_" (without the quotes). That will keep it from running.

Hi!
I'm looking for a combination of dependent and independent options. Let's say I have t-shirts with size and color as dependent options and additionally gift wrap for the t-shirt (as non-compulsory independent options) plus a cap white or black (also as independent additional option).
Is is possible to do? I tried to find some information but I got jus terribly lost. I'm sure my case is not unique. I would appreciate any advise.
