You're just a fountain of misinformation. VQMod most definitely allows you to remove code by blocks with the offset tag.

The attached VQMod script will also backport the v1.5.2 options fix to 1.5.1.3 (and probably earlier; haven't tested fully) for those interested in a proper fix for the issue.

Is that so ? Then perhaps you could demonstrate what this XML is about regarding
block modifications ? Additionally, I'm sure you realize that modifying as such will certainly involve conflicts of code lines with other distributors who modifies the same file and the same lines as these lines from the XML ain't for sure searched by a unique distributor and which is why I didn't coded this in XML already ? Otherwise, I would of obviously had published it already.

I told you the tag, linked to the documentation, and even posted a script which uses it. For anyone actually interested in learning something rather than just being argumentative that would be more than enough.

Which makes it different from any other VQMod script how? It's not like you completely rewriting functions is exactly compatible with other modifications anyway.

My point exactly which means distributing XML versions isn't any better than modifying core files in this case. The results are the same.

so I thought this (both fixes) fixed my issue but it didn't .. my options are still disappearing. any chance there's another explanation or fix? I was supposed to go live with this cart yesterday so I'm now looking for another option unless there's another "option".

From what I understand, running the latest version of OpenCart alleviates this issue.

I have read in the forums that option dissapearing is resolved in 1.5.2.1
but i am using 1.5.3.1 and i am facing the same problem
i have tried editing vqmod.php + php.in + index.php in admin and root dir
i have renamed all customized .xml files i had added later
but my problem still exists. i dont understand where the problem lies?
my option items are automatically dissapearing.......
