'Welcome' module - just can't understand layout config.

I am also having a similar problem and I see no one has said that their problem has been resolved.

The slideshow is set to appear on the home page at the top of the main content, which is does nicely. However it is also showing on the left side column when viewing categories (which is shouldn't do). It does not show on other pages. I am completely stumped as to why this is happening and can't see how to prevent it from showing on the left side column.

I have the latest version of opencart installed. Please can someone help me with this.

My settings:

Home Layout (system > design > layout) the route is : common/home
Extensions/Modules/Slideshow/Layout: Home; Position: Content Top; Status: Active; Sort Order: 1

Does this happen in all category pages ??

What have you got in the layouts/category ??
