Look for the PHP error log...
Check if you have a /logs directory in your site’s root. If you don’t see it, reach out to your web host for help locating the correct error log.

Are you using cPanel?
---
Yes I am using cpanel but I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm just feeling my way through. I'll have another look tonight when I get home
I'm having currently also one client using cPanel and is not knowing what he is doing!
cPanel is not really my preferred "playground", you should ask and pay one of the other guys here to check the settings in cPanel.

Because of the error 500 (which means everything and nothing!), going forward here brings nobody anything.
A specialist should help you and configure the server correct, check what may cause the error.

Sorry, but you should fix that as soon as possible, otherwise you will loose money ..

Last tipp: having products with 0,- and offering other payment options (like PayPal you are doing currently) is contra productive!
Made an extension whihc solves exactly such situations (hide or show poper payment options based on individual settings).

Because of cPanel's crazy price hikes, we've switched to: https://www.virtualmin.com/

We also think https://webuzo.com/ is quite good.

It maybe a bit "sophisticated", but we use Plesk https://www.plesk.com/ since 25 years.
Never had problems, and all 35 servers are running smoothly all the time ...

One of the most important points is, the UIX is very customer friendly.
And they can use nearly all languages (if the do not want to see or do not understand all in English .. ).

After the last few days I had to work with cPanel, I'm happy to close that case with that client .. it begins hurting in my eyes .. O0

We've been given Plesk logins many times over the years and we've always found important features are missing or broken. We really would not recommend it.

In terms of functionality, cPanel is very good indeed, but we won't be held hostage to regular and unfair price hikes.
