If you are using a free cart and are generating revenue then what is the problem with paying a few bucks for an extention? I generally try to not use extentions above and beyond what is bundled, but if I find something that will enhance the site it's a no-brainer to spend $20 or so (and I have spent money on extentions and one theme). It can only attract more developers and better offerings for all. I am sure happy to pay a few bucks not to have to dive in and start hacking code. Time has value as well. I would like to see a good rating system for extentions. One extention I downloaded provided functionality I needed but it seems the developer has went awol. I had to drop it because of bugs and questions on their site have went unanswered for months....no sweat, you get what you pay for. It may have been free but it has cost me anyway and was a lesson learned. I would be happy to pay for the extention if I know the developer will be there to stand behind their product.

As always happens with religion, totally imaginary legends are believed.
