Your affiliate module has some serious bugs. I posted some of them here. At this stage I would not recommend anyone to buy this module!

We have finished running all the tests with this affiliate module.

Its core feature, namely that of tracking sales so that affiliates get their proper referral fees, most of the time does not work!

:(

Thank you for the recommend....I was thinking that this was way overpriced to begin with. I am going to code up the same thing and give it away to help OC's usability. This will take me some time though.

if it's going to take you some time you might as well save the time because it is already in 1.5.0 which will most likely be out before you finish coding up your solution.

Where can we follow the work that is being done in 1.5.0?

there's a thread about the road to 1.5.0 it doesn't have everything, but several things that are being done. Daniel recently posted that he just completed the affiliate system. No one other than Daniel and Q have actually seen any of it yet though.

To bad, would be nice to have a SVN. Like open source projects have :)

well there is an svn, but it doesn't get used like most projects use it. seems like they just do a commit when they release a new version.

I always thought that Daniel's 1.5.0 affiliate module was still in the planning stage.

he posted just the other day that he just finished it. and as far as the release date Daniel is currently saying by the end of the month, but I wouldn't hold your breath development generally takes longer than you expect it to.

Hi All,

This guy purchased the old product from US before few weeks.
I was already requested him to get the new product from US. But still he never did it.
And once the customer purchased a product, he will get the frequent update from us about the fixes.

For Affiliate Commission, Some commission like Sales Click, Customer count will get credited into affiliate account immediately. But some other commission (like Sales Commission) will get credited only when the admin completed the order. Since the order may be cancelled or rejected. So we need to take this solution also in our mind.

We have tested this module with the all the different browser and Networks. The program is working fine. Since it is mainly using database tables instead of tracking with cookies & sessions.

If you have installed perfectly without any issues and Bugs, the program should run perfectly.
We will help you to install this module in your system too. And if you have any issue, we will surely resolve all these issue with the free of cost.

And we have proper demo environment. You can test all the affiliate module functionality over there. And you can reach me at soft.technee@yahoo.com if you have any more doubts on this.

If client is requested, we will create a separate demo environment for him and then provide him to completely test this module.

This module is available in online to purchase soon in my website. :)

Please feel free to contact me, if you have any doubts on this.

When we tested Shriman's affiliate module a few weeks ago, it simply wasn't ready for use in a live environment. Very unclean HTML code, missing language variable assignments, and above all, unreliable sales tracking for affiliates. Also, it doesn't seem to use cookie-based tracking.

We are now using iDevAffiliate, much better than the Shriman Affiliate module or the Post Affiliate PRO.

WARNING: Avoid this affiliate module at your peril.

I paid $100 to C MANIKANDAN, email soft.technee@yahoo.com, and installed his affiliate software on 1.4.8. There are several problems:

1. The programme is bug-ridden, Juergen had to fix over 20 bugs. It is probably best described as early Beta.
2. The technology does not work, the method it uses to track affiliates is unreliable. In our testing some were tracked and some were not.
3. A lot of the English language used does not make sense and Mani doesn't always understand the questions you are asking him.

I asked for my money back and offered to give him back a bug-fixed version of his software in return and he refused. The guy is a complete rip-off merchant. If his software is so darned good he should sell it through the extensions section of the OC site and offer a moneyback guarantee.

On this forum his user names are shirmantech and manimca. Now that I have posted this he may well register another - beware.

Here is my evaluation of competitive products, all of which I have used and extensively evaluated:

VAffiliate - lowish level of functionality, but will probably suit a lot of people, cheap to buy, technical support seem pretty good.

Post Affiliate Pro - highest level of functionality, good software, expensive, technical support is Eastern block so they don't always understand what you are saying and don't really do anything unless you hold a gun to their heads (metaphorically), lots of dodgy English language in the software. Has some unique functions like very good seo urls and lots of remuneration methods.

iDevAffiliate - main competitor to PAP, almost the same level of functionality, similar price to PAP, English is good, Technical support is better than PAP - good but not excellent, English is their first language.

In the end I settled on iDev because: 1. the software does what I want it to do and 2. the technical support is good.

BTW it is very important to have reliable affiliate software - your affiliates need to know that their work is going to be rewarded.
If there is any doubt they won't put in any effort and you won't get the sales. That's also why I went for one of the bigger mainstream software packages - because it has a proven reliability track record.

I wish I'd have known about the affiliate module just a few days sooner. I bought something else to use with CubeCart ( even though I prefer OpenCart) because I couldn't find an affiliate module for OpenCart. That's OK because I have a few sites that I can switch from CubeCart to OpenCart and take advantage of this. 8)

In your module "Affiliate Module" I have the opportunity to make affiliate links for specific products? Like "Tracking Link Generator" in standard script opencart.
