OK...
Product 1 belongs to Category 1
Product 1 = 1 lb
Option 1 = 0.5
Option 2 = 0.25
Using '+' mode
PW + (PW * OW1) + (PW * OW2) = Total Weight
1 + (1 * 0.5) + (1 * 0.25) = Total
1 + (0.5) + (0.25) = 1.75
So my total weight should be: 1.75lbs
1. I open Internet explorer and goto the homepage of my OpenCart shop
2. I see Product 1 on the Home page and click it
3. On that page I select Option 1 and 2 according to the notes above. I Click "Add to Cart"
4. I'm redirected to the Cart page and see "Total Cart Weight: 1.75lbs" -- Success
5. Close IE
1. I open Internet explorer and goto the homepage of my OpenCart shop
2. I click Category 1 and see Product 1 in Category List "checklist" format
3. I select the appropriate options and add the item to my cart
4. I'm redirected to the category page
5. I click the "cart" link and see "Total Cart Weight: 1.75lbs" -- Success
6. Close IE
1. I open Internet explorer and goto directly to the Product 1 page link from the address bar
2. On that page I select Option 1 and 2 according to the notes above. I Click "Add to Cart"
3. I'm redirected to the Cart page and see "Total Cart Weight: 1.75lbs" -- Success
4. Close IE
1. In FF I log in and add that item to my cart.
2. I open Internet explorer and goto directly to the cart page link from the address bar
3. It redirects me to the login page. So I login
4. It redirects me to "my account" page. So I click "cart"
5. I see "Total Cart Weight: 1.75lbs" -- Success
6. Close IE
The cart page does the check for the option weight before calculating now so it MUST work. And does for me.
How are you testing this?

Oh dear, now we are in big trouble. Your demo is worsterer than mine

Tested your demo site using 2 x PCs with Firefox 3 and IE 7 and another IE that is either 6 or 7
Closed down browsers after each test
In all scenarios, both PCs and both browsers, I consistently get a cart weight of only 1 (not 1.75)
Set-up a fresh install with RC3 + Option_Weight_n_Stock_079.1Beta + CategoryListOptions_v079.1_Beta
Installed in that order.
Set-Up product 1 per your data above
Tested with closing browser after each test.
Results: In both IE 7 and FF 3, the cart weight is correct if I add item from the product page
If I first add item from category page, cart weight = 1
But if I then go to add an item in the product page (after adding from the category page), the cart weight corrects itself.
I have no idea. This is a hard one

I don't lie because I know how to delete the evidenceQphoria wrote: LIES!

With a PC on XP Service Pack 2 or 3. Are you on a Mac. Should I try an AbacusHow are you testing this?

LOL! you crazy aussie! I don't have Option Weight & Stock on that demo site. Did you not notice there are no weights in the option dropdowns? Its a 1kg product and no matter how you restart it it will be 1kg.
The scenario I described above was with my localhost dev version.
Testing your site I see what you are seeing. But I don't see that on my localhost dev site. I will upload OW&S to my public demo site to see how it works

OK, you win. I've commented out the prefix, weight etc from my local version so I don't notice them missingQphoria wrote: Did you not notice there are no weights in the option dropdowns?
And I went to all the trouble to use another PC to confirm I wasn't crazy

You sent me a broken toy >:(Qphoria wrote: LOL ok... i forgot to put the new files into the zip file..
"Not happy, Jan" - an Aussie saying that just means not happy. I think it is from some TV commercial that I never saw. I just learnt the saying "Not Happy, Jan"
The opposite is "Happy Little Vegemite"
Thanks again... I appreciate you're most likely very busy so I am quite content to wait until you're ready.Qphoria wrote: I haven't actually released the 079 version yet, jty has just been my master tester
I was planning on releasing the 079 versions with 079 final... but I might leak it early
ATTENTION
I have released a new, separate version for v0.7.9 of OpenCart.
The new version does not work with 0.7.8 so I'm making a new thread for it.
Please see the new thread for all discussions on the new v079 version of Category List Options.
