Well I am actually trying to integrate Janrain into OpenCart.
I am busy with it already the whole day, and I am getting more and more frustrated.
I already managed to log in, and then the customer is saved in the session. But when I click on any Link, I get back to the login because at some point the customer is removed from the session.
My company want's to have the whole shop protected, because it is for internal use only. So I put the check for beeing logged in into the footer controller.
I will upload my vqmod, if somebody is still interested in this, I could really need some help over here.

Still grinding my teeth because the only thing I could not get to work it the god damn authentication.
But jeah, the thakkertech module works fine, i bought it, modified it, finished my project, so thanks a lot!

there are severla ways of doing it. you can do t manually but if you want a better solution, the try social login services by http://www.Loginradius.com/social-login, http://www.Janrain.com or onell
Janrain is free for first 1000 users but after that its very pricey. LoginRadius is good to go if you want premium version in cost effective prices.
