That's the way PayPal works. You just get the total price that the customer is paying. If you want a payment gateway that will itemise things you need to be looking elsewhere, e.g. Protx for a UK based cart. In fact, I'm not sure whether OpenCart's workflow even passes these details through to Protx - I've yet to test in earnest.

Ah... Okay. So the script doesn't actually send the user's Name and Payment address and everything. Is there a simple way of sending these variables to paypal to reduce the customer's steps in filling out information?

I just wanted to add that it is possible to send product information so that it shows up on Paypal.
I'm not sure how different Opencart's Paypal implementation is with Paypal's Website Payment Pro, but I was able to send product information to Paypal for both Direct and Express payment methods.
