Hi,
I have switched on to accept Paypal Standard and when doing a test order and paying by Paypal, it comes up with this error on Paypal:
This recipient either does not accept payments denominated in <b> or has specified an invalid currency code on his web site. Please contact the seller and ask him either to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency or to correct his web site to specify a valid currency code.
The cart is set for £GBP
I have not set PDT Token yet
I have not tried to use Paypal on a clean install of 1.4.9 but it did work ok on 1.4.8
I have used the patch 1.4.9.1
I have used Paypal for 6 years on my existing live site and orders are coming in with payment from Paypal so it cannot be a problem with my Paypal account.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I switched back to OC Default template and tried a prurchase and it worked fine, I have switched back to tm3red template and the problem is back.
This recipient does not accept payments denominated in WS_Error_XClick_Pref_Foreign_Currency. Please contact the seller and ask him to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency.

Eh.. no. This is not a 1.4.9.1 issue. This is simply because you are using a 1.4.8 template that doesn't follow the rules of templatinglashman wrote:Hi,

Remove the pp_standard.tpl file from your custom theme and it will work fine.
Thank you this answered my question as well. On that note, I am about to launch an online store using Opencart for a client on December 1st and have been in test mode for a while. I also renamed the default template and have been editing my version. Do updates to Opencart often break functionality if you have copied the default to a new name? How much of a problem is this going to be for me long term. Are there best practices that should be followed here? I have looked and searched but have not seen a definitive answer. Maybe I missed it but you seem to be one user who knows this stuff inside and out. I have learned a lot from your posts.Qphoria wrote: Eh.. no. This is not a 1.4.9.1 issue. Hello, I have the same message, I read the rules of templating, but when it says : "For example, if the catalog/view/theme/default/template/common/header.tpl file was changed, then you will need to make the small adjustments to the one in your theme", does it mean I should spot all the changes that were made in the different files, but how do I know changes were made and in which file and where?
For example, to what should I compare the catalog/view/theme/default/template/common/header.tpl file?
