Also bought module - click to go to product page

This module is designed to show on the product page and/or the basket page.

What it will show
On a product page, it will display all items bought with that item in previous sales in the store, weighting those more commonly bought at the top of the list for higher upsell
On the basket, it will work out all the products bought with those items like the product page does, and will filter out all the products in the basket from the result too

For stores that have already had a number of orders, this will work instantly to show your customers the kinds of products others like to buy when buying the items they're buying/viewing. This also means you don't need to spend lots of time adding related items to products, as people tend to buy related items together, and over time they will surface as the most popular with the item

Note that this module requires you to set the order state to "Complete" in order for it to use an order (so that the products used are only those purchased for orders). If you'd like to change that please contact me once purchased and I'll help you at no cost

do you think this could be made into an editable module for example in the cart area i want a module that shows products 3 or 4 related to the customers products in basket which can be editable from each items admin.

so say the customer adds an xbox console to the cart, a module underneath in the cart area will show an xbox controller, xbox headset or anything i select to show in the cart area for this specific item.

or even if this mod was scrolling so i could add more than 4 so that the customer is shown lots of other available products for upselling.

im on 1.4.9 btw :)

am i making sense? i hope so!

Hi Rich
If you want some custom coding done, please add me to your skype (JAY6390). 1.4.9 isn't an issue :)

Kind regards

Can this be modified to show the related products at the base of the product description?

It can, but requires a bit more work, and you'll need to style it accordingly

Jay,

I asked a while back up there ^^^ if it could be used to display products also bought on a tab / at the base of the page in a similar manor to related products. What would be involved in this?

I would also like to change the final status to get it to work to " shipped" as this is where we tend to leave things.

Cheers

Hey James

Basically, you will need to add the "module/also_bought" to the children of the product controller, then display it (in a similar way to the header or footer portions of the page do). If you'd like me to code it for you for a fee, send me a PM and we can discuss it

Cheers
Jay
