[SOLVED] NEED SOME ADVICE!!

Hey guys,

If I installed opencart, what other security applications am I suppose to use? I've just had problems with my shopping cart but I can't say for sure if Opencart was the cause because my hosting company has been telling me the error came within a script. They told me my site got hacked, and they restored everything back except for all my digital files, so I've been back and forth with the admin support and they kept giving lame excuses. I' wasn't really happy and I can't say for sure where the problem occurred in the first place?? I've lost a lot of time and effect into my shopping cart .

I want to stop this hacking or what ever the truth really is, from happening. I have uploaded all my files again, and was wondering what else am I suppose to do or add for security, etc? Please help me.

well if you are really paranoid you can follow the things mentioned Here, but there are no known security vulnerabilities in the latest version of opencart, so I doubt that the hacker got in through it.

Thanks, but I was using an older version 1.4.7. I found the answer, I didn't know I had to change the '.htaccess.txt' to '.htaccess' and also the 'index.php' and 'config.php' files to 444 for better security.
