I'm looking at migrating several shops from Prestashop to OpenCart due to a major problem with attribute/options handling in Prestashop which crashes your database or server when you create more than a couple of options or attributes.
Is there a quick and easy way to make this migration ?
You're probably talking about the content (categories, products etc.) so you should use the Export/import module (import information to Opencart through excel sheets). Or you can always modify the ZenCart import module...

There is no Export functionality in PrestaShop by default, there is a free module Here but that does not seem to work with the latest versions.

Want to share my experience.
I used service called Cart2Cart to migrate my store.
The quality of data transfer was really impressive. I didn't expect to get my new store so quickly.
This service migrated my products, customers, orders and many other entities.

This thread is old but anyway - I found that Cart2Cart service from here.
It's not working! Demo migration only works after that problems starting (and money also gone). They even didn't refund my money.
At the end of the day I'll did that job by myself and maybe some day I publish my own online migration service.

This situation was not popular six year ago. Today, store owners and technical staff can find many free extensions to migrate from Prestashop to OpenCart but it is not sure. To ensure about migration result, you can do process with a prestige provider. It perhaps takes fee that is expected to be cheap such as http://litextension.com/opencart-migrat ... ation.html. I have found this extension on OpenCart extension site. However, it is moved to somewhere. Keep calm!

It's possibly the best solution for this purpose. Data transfer was accurate with an exception of a few minor issues with taxes. After contacting the service staff they fixed it manually in less than 24 hours.
