Is there a way when in the admin dashboard, using the /marketing/mail/ option, with my mail server only allowing 50 an hour/500 a day to be sent, can OPENCART settings be tailored to utilize my local mail server?

Plus better HTML layouts, instead of the default? (I see modules for the HTML) but not the above.

Thank you

Opencart does not limit the emails being sent out, servers do. It would be a question you'd need to ask to your host on knowing how many emails per hour or per day that can be sent from your email server.

Take note by queuing the emails, it may slow down the process on reaching the email limits set by your host but will not prevent the limit to be reached. Contacting your host to gather more information about those limits would be suggested prior to use any queuing extensions.

You would probably be better off sending from MailChimp or similar.

you can schedule email sending jobs from the queue with a max number of emails per job.
So if the limit is 50/hour, schedule an hourly job with limit 50 or a half hourly job with limit 25.

Just created email throttling extension, which allows to limit how many emails are sent in a period (e.g. hour) https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=47502. It takes into account the transaction emails, so it never exceeds the limit set by hosting.
