Next version of OpenCart 4.1.0.3 is released today [March 25th 2025].

It can be downloaded here: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=cms/download

As long as this version is not approved and heavily tested by OC developers, users and maintainers, we please everyone again to wait before using this release in a live shop.
While it can be used to test the new introduced features, check this forum here and the GitHub Repo for any messages about bugs.

This also, because this version will break some third party extensions because of the changes in the core.

Any bugs you encounter can be reported in the OpenCart 4 Bug Forum, or on github.

just a quick test from my live 4.0.2.3 shop, the status got to applying patches and then stops. install folder seems to be there (and i can delete it when it prompts me to upon changing admin pages) but no changes are made and the shop was untouched. Cant see any error logs. my max post size is 256M

Very true, tested it for a few hours and already came across 2 issues:
Wrong total on cart page
Wrong backtrace listing in error handler

And yes, it can break some 3rd party extensions originally written for 4.0.x.x . E.g. it now expects the dot '.' instead of forward-slash '/' for a method separator in triggers, and it has relocated the sku, upc, ean, jan, isbn, and mpn fields to the newly introduced 'oc_product_code' table. You can even specify multiple sku, upc, etc. for the same product now, whether this makes sense is another question.

Hence it's always important to do a thorough testing first, and get any bugs reported and fixed.
