Just to let everyone know that OpenCart 3.0.4.0 has now been released.
A big thanks to all the contributors who helped out here with bugfixes and security patches and other changes, see the full changelog for more details.
OpenCart 3.0.4.0 is still highly backward-compatible with OpenCart 3.0.3.9, and supports PHP 8.x versions. The majority of 3rd party extensions written for 3.0.3.8 or 3.0.3.9 should also work for 3.0.4.0.

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig
I recommend a fresh install. The system/storage/vendor has a number of different folders and files, compared to 3.0.3.9.

Thanks. I presume there is no database change? Also, is 3.0.3.9 not fully compatible with PHP 8.2?
As I had done a huge upgrade from 2.2.0.0 to 3.0.3.9 earlier this year to work with PHP 8.1.
Regards
I upgraded from 3.0.3.8 to 4.0
I originally had my php set to 8.4 and everything worked fine except for two of my (many) extensions. So I think you can use 8.4 so long as your 3rd party extensions work

There's no official demo store of 3.0, so you'd have to find one maintained by a developer. My own demo store is 3.0 but it has all of my extensions installed, and has limited access to some areas, so it's not a full demo:

However, you're welcome to check it out to get an idea for how the admin panel is laid out and how it works. You just can't edit most normal things in OpenCart like products, categories, etc.
If someone else has a standard 3.0 demo, feel free to post it here.

Great news about the release of OpenCart 3.0.4.0! It’s always exciting to see updates that include bug fixes, security patches, and new features. A big shoutout to all the contributors who made this possible! The continued backward compatibility with earlier versions and support for PHP 8.x will definitely help ease the transition for many users. Looking forward to seeing how this version enhances the OpenCart experience!
It's taken me like 4 days to figure out the process but I really am enjoying Open Cart so far. I've installed it like 5 times now to test different templates, versions, and to correct my own mistakes so I've reached at least Level 5 and will soon become an Open Cart Wizard like some of you homies. My cart has been giving me issues for the last two years so I tested Woo (I'm too poor to afford to be wooed), Zen (just ugly and I think it's not even updated anymore), CS (broke on me but I used it for several years) - and now I'm here.
