I doubt it, but I'm asking anyway. I was moved to a new server with CWP web panel and I'm having a bunch of problems, right now I'm seeing constant calls to oracle database..."Oracle database not available!". Late tonight I was told by a tech rep it's probably because of some programming in OC. I said no, not the case, this never happened on my last server. Just on the slight chance that I didn't get that error before because I happened to have oracle on my last server, does OC send out any type of calls to oracle database or something?

As usual, you haven't provided sufficient details (see forum rules) for any of us to be of some useful help here.

A standard OpenCart doesn't even include an Oracle DB driver which would be based on PHP's oci8 driver. Also, there are some differences between the MySQL and Oracle DB syntaxes which would most likely require some modifications for a number of OpenCart model classes to make it work.

@JNeuhoff, OK, my question was sufficiently answered, but this time you HAVE to tell me exactly what information you were looking to get from this question. I literally stated everything that was happening and that I saw and you are STILL looking for more information  . I have no idea what more you could be looking for in this situation. I asked a basic, blanket question about the workings of OC so I had a foundation to deal with these people, and you actually gave me the answer I needed....more than I was even asking for. So tell me what.
@paul, you're actually very wrong...just a shit tech that's been giving me problems a multitude of problems with the transfer.

Found the issue, seems an overzealous tech put that error in my index to try and figure out why stack tracing wasn't working on this server, which they forgot to remove when they couldn't figure it out....which I eventually figured out and fixed myself smh.

Glad to hear you managed to sort it out.

Usually we would have required details of e.g. OC version, extensions used, theme, and website URL, to name a few common ones, along with the exact error messages. This would be needed for the majority of help requests on this OpenCart forum to get some meaningful help.
