from admin -> catalog -> products -> discount -> date start/date end, when you click on the calendar icon, it should show you the calendar dates for 1 month, after upgrading from 3.0.3.8 to 3.0.4.0, the drop down calendar is not showing anymore, need to enter dates manually.
