Using 3.0.4
If I go to a category page an image show up in the category column to the left. See link. Its a picture from the home slider and nothing I want there. How can I take it away.

First of all, there is OpenCart 3.0.4. Did you mean 3.0.4.0?
Anyway, you got a banner on the left column of your given category page. Just remove it via the admin backend at Design > Layouts > Category .
