2 days ago a lot of us began having an issue where PayPal checkout would time out on checkout. The only fix was to disable it and revert to the old PayPal standard for now.
Nothing was done on the site so we know it's on PayPal's end. But PayPal is being quiet and I cannot seem to find anything on it.
Anyone else know what was going on? And if it has been resolved?
Thanks
I'm seeing the same thing - here is the error message:
And when I go to look at the extensions/extensions/payments/PayPal Commerce Platform I get this message in red across the top:
These started around 11:55PM Sept 20.
I was approached by PayPal a month or so ago about converting my business account to something called Integrate Advanced PayPal Checkout but that is above my pay grade to try and integrate it to OC...perhaps PP changed their system to this new one on Sept 20th??
Oy!
(later)
Do NOT try to reconnect to PayPal in the PayPal Commerce Platform. I did that and now I can't activate it, even though it says I did all the steps. Paypal seems to not cover OpenCart as when I go to the site and then to "Other Ecommerce" I am directed to a 404 - page not found error...

I also see that the Paypal integration extension hasn't been updated since 2020...so if there has been a change they haven't added it to their extension:

My solution was to get the PayPal Payment Gateway extension written by Jonathan of Clear Thinking. Saves me trying to figure out how to fix it and Jonathan keeps on top of this sort of thing. I'm very happy with his support and the clean operation of his extensions.

Nonsense. The current stable version of PayPal Integration is 3.1.6 which was only released 2 months ago. There is also even a newer 3.1.7 from about a week ago.

I'm also suffering this problem and it appears that recently there was a PCI update according to PCI Update. I can only assume this is part of the reason why are seeing this problem, though I am not sure how to resolve it either.
