OC 3038
Any idea what could be the problem? I get a few of them once or twice a week all at the same time.

Could be your database was unavailable when OpenCart tried to connect.

Thanks! Does that mean a visitor tried to use the website, but it failed to deliver content due to a database connection issue? I’ve noticed I get around 2 minutes of downtime almost daily with HostPapa. How can I check the cause, as this has happened at other times too?

If it worked before, and you haven't changed your database details, then you should contact your webhost as soon as possible.

Hi,
Thank you guys for your replies.
I changed the password and so far haven't got any errors. I think their SQL server sometimes doesn't like some passwords. It must have some bugs or OC 3038 might have some bugs on this matter. I shall see this in near future and report here.

I never heard about certain MySQL passwords occasionally causing database access issues. Let us know how it goes after your change.
I still think your DB server was overloaded during certain high traffic times. What kind of web hosting account do you use? VPN?
