This extension will allow you to customize parts of the checkout page in OpenCart 4.0.2.x versions, as well as includes some automatic improvements to the checkout flow. This extension requires vQmod, which you can get here:
This extension does not work with the Journal theme.
Features of the extension include the following:
- Speed up the checkout process for your customers. Once they enter their address, the shipping method pop-up will automatically appear. After a shipping option has been selected, the payment method pop-up will automatically appear.
- Prevent customers from forgetting to save their address in guest checkout. If customers click the shipping method "Choose" button before clicking the "Continue" button, the address will be automatically saved before displaying the shipping method pop-up.
- Improve the visibility of the "Continue" button in guest checkout by moving it to the right, as well as setting its text separately for when the customer is registering during checkout and when they are checking out as a guest.
- Adjust the column split of the page so the columns are equal width rather than the default 7/12 to 5/12 split.
- Optionally hide the shipping and/or payment method area. You can choose to hide the areas for guest customers, logged-in customers, or both. If hidden, the first shipping or payment choice provided by the system will be automatically applied to the order.
- Optionally hide the choice for registration and guest checkout. You can also optionally hide the newsletter subscribe field.
- Adjust the size of the "Add Comments About Your Order" field.
- Suppress unnecessary "Success" alerts that appear every time something on the page changes.
- Move the cart and payment form area so it is displayed underneath all other fields. This can be done for guest customers, logged-in customers, or both.
