Separate Storage Directories for Multiple OpenCart 3.0 Installs?

On shared hosting, how can I configure OpenCart 3.0 to use different storage directories for multiple installations to avoid conflicts? Is there a way to specify unique storage names outside of the webserver DocumentRoot? https://krogarfeedback.org/

DIR_STORAGE in the config.php and admin/config.php can be changed to be different for each install.
