I am experiencing this problem on mulitple sites. OC 3.0.3.7 and 3.0.3.8.
My Mail Engine is set to "Mail" and I am getting reports that many recipients are not recieving their order email. In some cases, the email can be found in spam, in many others they don't reach the inbox at all. Using the "SMTP" mail setting, the deliverability is good, but I am unable to connect though SMTP using O365 and Titan email accounts - so I'm forced to use "Mail".
Has anybody every experienced similar issues with the Mail setup? Or can shed any light on how to connect to stubborn email clients (Outlook, O365)...
A couple more points:
- Re the inability to connect to SMTP - I don't believe it's a server setting, as I was able to connect through SMTP prior to emails being hosted elsewhere.
- Is the "-f" necessary in Mail Parameter? I've tried with and without, doesn't seem to help
- SPF records are correctly set up
- I've contacted host company - they are unable to help
