Adding Reward Points to Product Options in OpenCart 3

Hello everyone,

I'm currently using OpenCart 3 with default theme and no extra addon. I am adding reward points to the main product as well we to the product options. I'm trying to understand how the reward points system behaves with these product options.

When a customer purchases a product with specific options that have reward points assigned, are these points automatically added to their reward balance, in addition to the main product's reward points?

Has anyone had experience with this, and if so, how did you manage to ensure the reward points from the product options are correctly credited to the customer's account?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Points are assigned to product and product option.
Reward points are assigned to product.
Customers earn reward points when they complete an order.
In next order, reward points can be spend according to points (max value to apply reward points).

Aren't these points are the same ? If so then when adding a product like:
And the reward points for the products are 20000.

So when a customer place order the total rewards points should be 20000+2500?
Am i mistaken here?

Not the same.
Reward points for the products are 20000
Customers earn reward points 20000 when they complete an order.
In next order, reward points can be applied is 2500 points for this product option. The same customer cannot spend more points on it.
