While it's nice to hear from someone else for a change, I actually mention the same fix already in the referenced issue in my opening post.
I wasn't really looking for solutions, I was making this thread to highlight Daniels inability to discuss what in my opinion is clearly a mistake / missed opportunity. And to see what others think about his decision to not change this.
A lot of us get where you are coming from but Daniel is the controller of whatever happens with Opencart. If he decides what we say is an issue, isn't, then so be it. I have understood that for a while and it has made things much easier to accept. We get what we get for a free software.
The best we can do is fix the issues we think are issues and move forward with running a business.

Indeed, Daniel treats even most obvious bugs in very specific way. Plus he does not care testing the actual code much and accepts some changes that break the functionality completely.

I decided to start fixing Opencart 4 bugs with vQmod so it may be used in production. This is the part of my opencart .mx project.
Right now it includes fixes for 6 Opencart 4.0.2.2 bugs, 4 of them critical.

Beside that the project includes installer with automatic extensions updates and vQmod support, Opencart 4 speed up and usability changes. Next I plan to add default theme CSS redesign not to look so ugly.

If you know some 4.0.2.2 bug that is not fixed in opencart .mx , please send me the details - that will be a great help!

Sure, the extensions are not updated automatically!

It just says the update is available and adds an update button for the extension in the installer.
Pressing update button updates the extension and the revert button appears for the case if update is not working well.

I read your extension page knoxville, but dont see any mention of the variant issue ?

Generally id like to add that i started this thread to discuss the variant/mast add to cart issue (if anyone is wants), not just complain about Daniel ;D
