But the favicon is not shown on webpage tap.
Give it time, it will appear sooner or later if you did everything right.

Why you have upgraded to 4.0?
Better wait half year/ one year...
Also uploading ico should work just fine

I just submitted this as a possible bug but was told by Daniel Kerr to do this in version 4.0.1 in Admin --> Design --> Themes
Here I was able to choose the common template and then header.twig
Around line 9, right after the title line add the link line:
<title>{{ title }}</title> **don't add this twice **
<link rel="icon" type="image/x-icon" href="/image/logo16x16.jpg">
Change your image name to the one you uploaded in admin and make sure you get the correct directory name, if needed.
You may have to use Ctrl + F5 to refresh browser cache when testing results.
I really like this Opencart and hope v4 comes along quickly from here on.
1. Go to your Opencart, through FTP (example FileZilla).
2. Find folders: public_html > image > catalog > opencart.ico
3. Upload your own favicon-image.
4. Erase the old "opencart.ico".
5. Rename your own favicon to " opencart.ico "
6. Check your opencart website.
7. Refresh with F5 and ctrl + F5.
8. Now you will see your new own favicon
I just tried to get the favicon working in 4.0.2.1 but I guess they removed the favicon line from the headers.twig or simply forgot to add them.
Without any reference to the location of your icon it will not display it.
When you add the line mentioned bij ahmed219 the icon will display.
Also the possibility to upload a icon is removed in the system settings.
All my extensions: Click here or Click here
I'm using 4.0.2.2
Could you let me know please the best place to put that line in the file? i.e. the lines above and below as I don't want to hack away at it.
Also I have 2 header.twig files, one in admin_opencart\view\template\common and the other in catalog\view\template\common
It's easy for me to try editing both files but as I mentioned just worried about the best location for that line.
