I enable the SEO option in the settings
Rename the .htaccess file
Set Seo URls in the Design->Seo Urls List

But still, SEO URL is not active on my website still see this type of URLS (route=, iformation=, product= ) all over my website

even I manually type the SEO URL it redirects me to the home page

I use the default opencart theme and don't have any plugins installed

I would strongly advise against using OpenCart 4.0 for a live store. There are still some bugs in the latest version, including a major one where order information is displayed from the product's current data, instead of the data at the time the order was placed. Until that is fixed, I would recommend using 3.0.3.8 for new installations, or sticking with the version you are using if you have an existing store.

If you need a PHP 8 compatible version of OpenCart 3.0, you can find one here: https://github.com/opencart/opencart/tr ... aintenance

It's almost a year since the release of OC v 4 and still, I can't use it in my live store. is opencart still worth using in 2023?

Even If I use 3.0.3.8 for now in my live store but then I have to update it to the latest version and that upgrade is also a headache

4.0.1.1 should be removed from Opencart website. Is a shitty version...

Trust me, we're all frustrated with the status of 4.0. I'm not sure why it's taking so long to fix the bugs, but I'm hoping 4.0.2.0 will be stable enough to start recommending.

You don't need to update OpenCart unless something major changes in PHP. I know people still using OpenCart 1.5 and it hasn't been a problem until web hosts starting requiring PHP 8. You should be fine on 3.0.3.8 (with PHP 8 compatibility) for probably a decade.

when opencart 4.0.2.0 will released?

opencart 3.0.3.8 is really PHP 8 compatible?

Yeah this is a big issue for developers because you never know when your hosting provider stop supporting PHP 5 or 7

until when we run our stores on PHP 5 and 7 with low speed and performance

Well, any decent Hoster will still have PHP v.7.x available for quite a long time, so, I would not worry about this ... :D

I'm new with opencart. I'm testing in local environment but what I can see is the following:

If I let the English language, the SEO URL will work. Now If I install or set a new language, such language will have the route and additional query parameters in the URL, for instance: http://the-local-store/the-lang/macbook ... ct/product

This URL selecting English will look as http://the-local-store/en-gb/product/macbook

I don't have a clue how opencart builds the URL and I guess if anyone try to touch the htaccess to acheve it then they will have a headache.

I'm new with opencart. I'm trying in neighborhood climate yet what I can see is the accompanying:

On the off chance that I let the English language, the Website optimization URL will work. Presently In the event that I introduce or set another dialect, such language will have the course and extra question boundaries in the URL, for example: http://the-local-store/the-lang/macbook ... ct/product

This URL choosing English will look as http://the-local-store/en-gb/product/macbook

I haven't the faintest idea how opencart constructs the URL and I surmise on the off chance that anybody attempt to contact the htaccess to acheve it, they will have a cerebral pain.
