I have successfully installed OC through cPanel however when I enter my url I get this:
Index of /
* store/
What do I have to do so that when I enter my url my store comes up instead of this directory type thing. Thanks
**my url is www.homebrewgearcanada.com
I also had it running on my computer through localhost before I installed via cPanel and tried to backup my computer version and restore that to my new online one. The problem I'm having is that when I go to the store front it shows the default computer products then when you click on them it says product doesn't exist and once I hit continue then I get the products and layout I had with my computer version.

when you upload via ftp you only upload the stuff that is inside the upload directory and you upload that to your document root. usually either public_html or www or httpdocs folder.(depends on your hosting)

I'm with Just Host and was using File Manager before but have downloaded filezilla. Should I be uploading to public_html or www? They are both listedXsecrets wrote:when you upload via ftp you only upload the stuff that is inside the upload directory and you upload that to your document root. usually either public_html or www or httpdocs folder.(depends on your hosting)

Hi hlubach
The 'upload folder' is what you get when you download a fresh copy of Opencart from their server.
But you upload the contents of this folder to public_html or httpdocs - ie, these files
(NB- htaccess.txt. should be renamed .htaccess if you're using it for SEO)
I understand you've been working on a local server. Check the documentation on Moving Your Store for more help.
Good luck...
