Hello,

I'm installing OC v4.0.1.1 on a staging site. Running PHP Version 8.1.9. I got the following alert on Pre-Installation:
3. Please make sure you have set the correct permissions on the files list below.
Files Status: Missing
config.php
admin/config.php

Should I continue? Please advise what should I do. Thanks in advance!

Have you renamed config-dist.php to config.php and admin/config-dist.php to admin/config.php?

Thank you Sir. After rename them, now get Writable status. Is it right permissions? I searched documentation from the forum but found nothing.

There is an INSTALL.md in the download. Or you can view it here.

Thank you! Successfully installed. But I can't login into Admin site. It shows incorrect Username/Password. I tried reset password but no email received.
Which file I can find the admin Username/Password setting?

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

Hi Harap. That information is not stored in a file but rather in the database itself. During installation, you would have chose your user name and password as it's not set by the system but rather by the person who installed Opencart.

@tdaubs
I did setup admin username and password during installation. Otherwise won't let me go. The problem is I can't login and even reset password the email doesn't reach my inbox and spam folder.

I downloaded the database, I can find the email address for admin. But I don't see the admin username and password in the database.
Can I run installation one more time?

You will need to clear your config.php files and database before you can install again.
