Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but what are people using for version control with large Opencart sites? By large, I mean with lots of modules and modifications. I have been working within the opencart system and have been careful not to make any changes to core files and work within the modification system. The problem with this approach is that keeping track of the various mods can be very cumbersome. Using a git doesn't really work for OC since the various xml files are installed in the db. It also gets tricky when third party modules need to be updated as there is no centralized repository for pull updates or even getting notifications. Looking for feedback and suggestions.
FYI, I've only been working with OC 3.
Thanks
That's being improved on OC 4 regarding the pull changes from vendors.Fkdhwb wrote: ↑Sun Jun 19, 2022 4:05 amHi All,
