It started here: viewtopic.php?f=202&t=226784&e=1#p834814

Now I am curious what do you think?
Everyone can post his comment, for example:

[] Yes - as many times I can.
[] Regularly.
[] Sometimes.
[] No thx, no interest in sharing my data.
[] No, not GA, but another tool (like Matomo, because MY data IS my data).
[] Other opinion.

Thx.

I'm afraid I'm not interested in sharing my data either, but using Google Analytics is quite beneficial for my business. Its interface is quite easy to navigate and I can keep track of different data types systematically there.
I would like to hear others' opinions on their use of Google Analytics too.

I use it as infrequently as possible but it's still too much. I feel abused until I log out.

As a small business, you basically have to if you use Google Ads and want to be successful. I've installed and use Matomo for a while, but with data like campaign ad spend not automatically carried over it just became more trouble than it was worth for me. In the end, time is money.

There are many web analytic tools you can use to collect website data, the most popular and free version that websites can use is Google Analytics. Google Analytics allows you to track and understand your customer's behavior, user experience, online content, device functionality and more.

Well, unless a user has AdBlocker, DuckDuck Go Site Privacy Protection, or similar browser plugins ;D

And as well as some OpenCart plugins preventing such tools before users have given their consent to use 'em (see GDPR)!
Beside this, there are other tools to get all those items, without the cost to share user data with a "data leech".

For small businesses it's almost impossible to not work with Google Analytics. Especially when you work with Google Ads. It's the best and easiest way for a successful business.
