Modifying Order confirmation email

I want the change the order confirmation email to:
  • have "Qty: #" instead of "# x"

    include the size option

    link to admin/index.php?route=customer/order/update&order_id=####&filter_order_id=#### in the store owner's email.
How can I accomplish these tasks?

Play around in /catalog/model/checkout/order.php... That's where all the confirmations are built.

You sure have a lot of tedious yet seemingly minuscule and irrelevant changes... I hope this is for some uptight japanese client and I hope he is paying you a LOT of money.

You can edit that in catalog/model/checkout/order.php under the confirm function

I currently have Options Plus. I don't want to overwrite that mod.

Should I just add the code in between the

Would be easier to use the enhanced email as the base and add the options plus changes to that version of the file, as there are less changes. All marked by //Q

I don't see that enhanced order email on your site? I want to modify the customer email for downloads to at least explain where to get the download, otherwise they have to keep clicking continue to eventually see where to download. it's terrible.
oh i think I am using 1.4.7 for both my digital download stores.
