Hello:

I have just installed Opencart and i;m having a problem with the images. The actual images do upload, however they wont display in the image manager.

Are there any solutions to this?

Thanks,

Hi grapple
A search for 'image manager' will yield a few solutions to try. It depends on the problem. Can you see any images in the image manager, or none at all?

The most common solution is to change permissions, ie chmod the image folders to 777 as detailed here http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... t=0#p73043

Good luck

The permissions are set to 777. The images themselves upload and can be seen through FTP. THe problem is they are not seen through the Image Manager and therefore they cant be selected.

be sure all cache folders are also 777. if 777 doesn't work try 755

I tired mutiple things. Replaced the filemanager.php file, reupload the images, recreated the folders, etc but nothing seemed to work.

What i did to fix the issue was:
-Decreased the size of each photo
-Uploaded the files manually via FTP.

This allowed the files to show-up and be selected for the store.

Thanks.

My image manager files just disappeared, and I found that one of them had somehow became a zero filesize. This must have been corrupted. As soon as I replaced that corrupted image with the original from the opencart upload data files, the image manager started working again.

Look at your filesizes with your FTP client. If any of them are zero (0), it's corrupted.
