Need paid help with email settings. Opencart doesn't send any emails with most providers

OC version 3.0.3.2
OS version Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS
PHP 7.2.24
it works (for now) only with Gmail, but I need to change it to a custom domain email.
I tried all mail accounts with PEAR/Mail on the same server, works fine. For some reason, they don't work with OC.
All SSL certificates are installed, network connections are fine.

The problem is, OC' Mail class doesn't return any errors.
It doesn't offer this functionality.
It returns boolean success/failure and that's it.
