Hi all something really strange has happened with an order. Customer order and sent out order based on shipping address on system, so went into order and copied address for label, both billing and shipping same on order. Customer got back today to say order had been delivered to her home/billing address and not the work address, I explained that that they were the same. However she produced the order confirmation invoice email with the correct shipping address not the one it was sent to or appears on the system. She has two addresses on her account, home and work. Nobody went into to her order and updated addresses after she placed the order, does anyone know how on earth this could happen, really confused here. thanks
What payment module are you using? Some of them do update the order details from their payment data. However, I'm not sure whether any do this after the confirmation email. Some also allow the customer to change the shipping address on their pages but not send the new address back to OpenCart.
Also are you using any extension that could affect orders?

Hi Guys
This has happened again, getting orders on my system saying one shipping address but when the email going to customer is another address. So basically they have expressed a different shipping address but this not what has come across in my orders. Using PDF Pro Invoice and professional email templates. any help please. So pdf invoice and email is right but my admin order is incorrect. Would it be that the customer has made their home address the default address if so how can I change this for all customers please.

What version of OpenCart?
What payment module are you using?
Are you using any extensions that could affect orders or customer accounts?
Does you theme change your checkout pages at all?
Have you checked the order address directly in the database oc_order table?

thank you for getting back to me, using 2.3.0.2, payment methods inc paypal, stripe, & realex and journal 3.0. Having looked at it I think the problem is if customer sets an address to be the default, this seems to take priority even if customer has specified a different address through paypal for example, could that happen, that the default address in a customer's address book is the default shipping address.
Some payment gateways do allow the customer to change the shipping address on the payment page. It could be that the payment module doesn't always update the order with the new address. If the problem is always with the same payment module and the address is correct on the email sent from the payment provider and not the one form OpenCart, then it could be this.
The Journal 3 theme checkout modifications are also known to cause problems.

Thank you, the thing the address is correct on the email coming from our system i.e. the confirmation email, which I use professional email templates extension which is really weird so but when I go into order on the backend it is not the same nor is the. I use pdf invoice extension too and both this and the backend have the same email. The same thing happened when a customer put two separate orders through at same time roughly but we only got the one order, yet the email confirmation the customer got was for the other order but we only had one order on the system, yet two payments had come through on the payments gateways which is very concerning too. That's why this is very confusing, they had a address set to default too, wondering should I disable one of the extensions. Can't understand how they are getting correct email confirmation from our system but our order differs.
The issue with the customer placing two orders but you only receiving one is known bug with the Journal 3 theme checkout modifications.
There are a few post about it on the forum.

You will need to contact Journal support.
The issue with the address change. I would guess that too is an issue with the Journal 3 theme checkout modifications or with it being incompatible with your other extensions.
