Hi,

This may not relate to opencart but I would like to ask anyway.

Is there a way to include a repetitive product information in one file then include this file in every product description?

It should be working like shtml server side include.

For example, in every product i would say:
"This item does not contain any toxic substance. Our last inspection date is mm/dd/yy."
The date will be changing every couple months. So I want one place to edit instead of re-edit every products description.

I know it is fairly easy to do so, but i have very limited knowledge. I prefer a way that doesn't' need to modify opencart core file.

Any suggestion would be appreciate. Thank you.

you could simply edit the catalog/view/theme/default/product/product.tpl file and add it there either before or after the description. If you do that you don't need an include. editing that one file will add it for every product.

Editing product.tpl work nicely and I'm thankful for that.

The only drawback is it couldn't be used in complex situation.
Eg., first 100 products says one thing and the next 100 says another.

Now, I will employ this method but any other suggestions are still welcome.

Cheers!

If you use the Import/Export Tool you can just copy and paste into the Excel Spreadsheet. This way would be pretty easy for a complex situation.
