Hi,

I'm a noob when it comes to PHP.  ??? I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on where I could find resources to learn PHP.

I'm very good with HTML, XHTML, CSS, and that kind of stuff... but my PHP skills are very limited.

Any suggestions?

On the net for free. Google "Learn PHP" and take your pick.

Otherwise, visit your local book store. No shortage of goodies there too.

I highly recommend nusphere PhpED as your development environment. It has a great user interface and fabulous debugger that even allows you very flexible options to debug and step through your code when it is running on the web server.
Stepping through code and being able to easily examine variable values etc really accelerates the learning process.

Make sure you have a copy of Firefox and the web developer extension for working with the front end html generated by your applications.

Good Luck

100 Agreed with bruce. Firefox WebToolbar and Nusphere is what I use every day. PHP is sooo much easier to work with when step-by-step debugging. But start simple. Try to understand the basics first. Simple conditionals, loops, etc.
