hello! I am a designer and pretty new to OpenCart, but so far have learned quite a bit. I would like to make a second navigation bar, that will appear on every page of the store. I would like it to sit above the category menu bar. It will have links to other pages, that aren't in the store. I have looked at the admin page for adding modules to layouts, does this mean I will need to create a new module? Or can I duplicate and modify the category navbar? Or is there an easier way? If so how do I do that?
Basically the idea is to make the OpenCart store appear as if it is sitting within a page of another website, so I need to include the main website navigation. So far I have gotten everything to look the same as the main site, except for the missing navigation.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
I know you've been waiting a long time for a single response...........
I would think you'd need to find yourself some coding that will give you a suitable responsive menu then insert that coding above or below the default menu bar, if you can find the right template.
Speaking of which, anyone here know which template I'd need to access for the default menu bar?

Well, the Fellow is possibly no longer even using Opencart.
But to your question, the default Header Menu Menu Bar is either
placed in the Theme Header.* file, or then in a special Menu.* File,
usually depending on the OC Version and Theme used. So, by asking
for help, and other questions, a Posting always needs to be placed in
the correct Forum Subsection, and the OC Version (+Theme, if Custom)
should always be mentioned too.
But to keep you from screwing up, I added some links and a ZIP File,
to enable you, to get a little familiar with OpenCart. A lot of Information
can also be found by asking our Friend Google about it:

I would have the standard menu then use the mega menu extension and modify it to sit above the standard menu.
